Herbs and spices come in a wide variety and can be easily found in most grocers these days. I love using an array of them because they add great flavor to my food and offer numerous health benefits, including anti-inflammatory advantages.1
I particularly have gone all-in on ginger and turmeric (I often get them fresh and put together in the tea I mention here). Both have potent anti-antioxidant effects and are rich with traditional medicinal qualities that aid our overall health.2 3
Plain and simple, herbs and spices are genuinely a great way to add flavor and fragrance to meals that have been working for centuries. We don't need to add extra fat, sugar, or salt to make things more pleasurable. That's just a modern phenomenon played to the hilt by big food companies.
