As I tackle a new week ahead, preparing to find what’s next for this chapter of my career, I’m pondering this excerpt from Pema Chodron’s When Things Fall Apart.
‘Whether we experience what happens to us as obstacle and enemy or as teacher and friend depends entirely on our perception of reality. It depends on our relationship with ourselves.’
Sometimes we are ready to see the lesson, and sometimes we are not. While I can’t force perspective for optimal learning at all times, I can continue cultivating a relationship with myself that consistently keeps me open and prepared to find the lesson and, hopefully, some insight to take along this journey.
What comes up for you when you read the excerpt above? I’d love to hear your take.
I’ve built a better feedback loop. I’d love to hear some honest lessons I can take with me this week; you can share it anonymously here.
Happy Monday 🥳
